🚨 Breaking News: Salsability is moving! 🚨
After 17 amazing years, an important chapter is coming to an end. Our iconic dance hall at Delftseplein 36, Rotterdam will permanently close on April 23, 2026 due to demolition and redevelopment plans around Rotterdam Central Station.
Over the next 7 weeks we will continue dancing here. Until the closing, there will still be classes and weekend parties so we can celebrate and say goodbye to this special place together.
But this is not the end — Salsability continues!
When one door closes, another opens. At the end of April we will open the doors of our new location:
✨ Club Cadans
📍 Delftsestraat 9, Rotterdam
Club Cadans will be more than just a dance school. It will be a place where people come together for dance, movement, workshops, culture, and social events.
📍 New location: only 2 minutes walking from our current venue
📅 Last day at Delftseplein 36: April 23, 2026
🚪 Opening Club Cadans: May 4, 2026
The Salsability classes will of course continue, and there will be much more to come.
After 17 years full of dance, music, and community, we look forward to starting this new chapter together with all of you.
More information about the new location and the opening will follow soon.
Let’s keep dancing! 💃
Salsability works with 4 different ascending levels of Salsa. We offer:
Beginner, Advanced Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced classes.
Once you have mastered the curriculum of one course you are ready to move onto the higher level in consultation with the teacher.
– Open Training:
The open training is a class which is based on individual training drills (no leading & following) to develop yourself into a ‘complete’ dancer. Before you dance with partner you have to be dancing yourself!
During the class you will learn the Rhythmical body structure of Salsa, footwork, coordination and style, awareness and balance. You will learn the Salsa basics by the Rhythm method. How to develop your center awareness, how to use your energy against the dance floor, how to let your movement go through your center to create the ability of controlling your hips and legs.
The Open Training is also based on the original names of the footwork patterns of Eddie Torres (Patterns Method). The Eddie Torres technique is made up of the most fundamental partnerwork steps and footwork steps (shines). Shines are your best and fastest way to fully understand the Salsa rhythm and timing. The beginning of wisdom is calling things/shines by their right names. The Open Training will give you all the basics you need to center your body so you can move, then create a rhythm in your body so you can dance and connect with your partner.
– Show Team: Make the transition from a social dancer to a stage performer. Salsability dancers show Team
Here at Salsability proper technique and thorough teaching are part of the fun. We want to make sure you learn on the right level, so you don’t have bad experiences in your future dancing. Please join the Beginner’s trial lesson if this applies to you:
Don’t worry about paying too much. We just want you to have the best experience. Once we’ve seen that you belong in a higher class we will deduct what you’ve already paid from the class fee of the higher level!
